Elements that help create a parent-baby bond are eye gaze, skin-to-skin contact, unique scents of the mom and the baby, vocalization (the baby's response to its parent), mother's and father's hormone activation whilst in contact with their baby, heat regulation, transfer of immunological bacteria and antibodies to the baby when in close contact with its parents.
Today, countless research studies in America and Europe support the benefits of infant massage with impressive results.
Research has confirmed that babies undergoing massage treatments are physically more advanced, have a better sleep routine, during which the baby sleeps longer and deeper, it also stimulates their circulation, digestive, respiratory and endocrine system, thus helping them to relieve discomfort caused by gas, constipation or cramps.
Also, the massage increases the baby's body and sensory awareness, helping it relax and relieve any emotional stress. Sensory stimulation of touch stimulates growth and development by supporting myelination of the brain and nervous system.
Baby massage helps parents to adapt faster, gain confidence, get to know their baby better and develop their parenting skills quicker and better. In addition to this, the massage reduces stress levels and reduces postpartum depression in mothers if present.
By massaging your baby, you engage in a deep emotional connection that is being established in the first year of life which represents the foundation for confidence, courage, faith, love, and support throughout the baby's entire life.
Parents' education lasts for five weeks and is conducted once a week for 2 hours. Both parents are always welcome to attend the classes, which allows the baby to connect with both parents uniquely.
